Hi, I’m Karen (Talenshi) from St. Louis, MO.

I’m a 2D artist and maker working in Procreate, with a background in traditional media. I went to school for Illustration and have been to a ton of conventions in the past where I’ve offered my work and commissions for badges etc. My partner and I also love vending at Renaissance Festivals, and we really get into character at those.

In addition to collaborating on physical objects we write stories together that I illustrate. Our current focus is our “Birds at Arms” world and story that will eventually be graphic novels and short comics. We’re still in the world-building and rough draft phase of the larger story, but we have the script for our first prequel comic, featuring vultures, nearly done. We were inspired by Foxfeather’s Lesser Yellow Headed Vulture ambassador, named Severus, and their wildlife rehab and education work to put a spotlight on vultures in our stories. We hope that more people will come to love these amazing birds by connecting with our characters. We are taking our time with the stories, in part because I haven’t been able to draw much without pain from carpal and cubital tunnel syndrome for a little over two years.
